Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar criticized former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for entering the general elections from NA-127 Lahore. During a workers’ convention in Lahore, Tarar questioned Bilawal’s move, asking about the significant projects completed in Karachi that prompted him to contest in Lahore. He expressed disdain, stating, “How dare they [PPP] come to Lahore?”
Tarar emphasized Lahore as the stronghold of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, noting the city’s love for him. He highlighted PML-N’s previous victories in Lahore, even during challenging times, and praised Nawaz Sharif for stepping up during the country’s hardships.
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, in a separate development, declared that the party was on the verge of becoming a “strong political force” in the country. During a press conference in Karachi, Shehbaz expressed his commitment to inclusivity, aiming to bring everyone on board for the country’s upliftment. He stressed the importance of concerted efforts for national prosperity.
Welcoming new members to the party, Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the significant influx of individuals from Sindh into PML-N. He extended a warm welcome to those joining the party, emphasizing unity and collaboration.
